Edith White Missionary in West Africa with Wycliffe Bible TranslatorsA friend of Grace, Edith White is a missionary serving Wycliffe Bible Translators and SIL International in Benin and Togo, West Africa. Edith served on the faculty of Mankato State University from 1966 until the fall of 1994, when she went on leave to prepare for work with Wycliffe Bible Translators and SIL. During the 1970-72 academic year, Edith taught English in a secondary school in Parakou, in the country of Benin as a member of the Peace Corps. In 1988, during a sabbatical year, she served as an interpreter for an Africa Area Literacy Seminar organized by SIL for government officials and leaders of non-governmental organizations. In July of 1998, Edith left SIL for her current assignment as a member of Wycliffe Bible Translators in Benin and Togo, West Africa.

Grace Lutheran hosts a free-will offering Omelet Breakfast each year to benefit our missionaries.
